I produced blogs weekly based on blogs editing blogs and how to make money making blogs so subscribe if you’re interested in blogs production of any sort but today’s blogs is a little bit off-topic but I also make blogs on freelance. how to get your first upwork job. we’re gonna be doing a blogs on how to get your first upwork job hands down I’ve done a lot of blogs talking about upwork in terms of you know ways that you can make money on upwork if you’re a video editor or Videographer but without further ado we’re gonna get into this topic but shout out with suggesting this topic right here thank you suggested it as a blogs without further ado let’s get into it on screen right now is my upwork jobs profile.
Strong Profile To Get Upwork Job:
First point of how to get your first upwork job and it starts with a strong profile it starts with a strong profile a strong profile I just mean a profile this you’ve just put like you know a good 20 minutes into 15 minutes and do something like that just put a little bit of time into setting it up you’ve got a good description you know what I mean obviously your hourly rate sorted I haven’t used this this profile here in a little while but it is my most recent one but essentially I’ve got my portfolios my blogs how real these are two different portrayals of my work then I’ve got just you know what I mean a few skills put in here the maximum you know kind of the perfect number of skills is 2 on upwork I’ve really found and then the education obviously I’ve just got some education from my most recent education that I actually completed which was the media and film production and essentially it all starts with a strong profile.
Because if you’re applying to loads of work if you got a profile that is you know you haven’t put much time into it or whatever and you haven’t actually spent at least like 15-20 minutes on it and really that’s all it takes to put together a little like this then people aren’t really gonna be liking that and they’re gonna be moving on to the next person who has taken the time to really fill out extensively their profile and actually make them look like they’re a hireable character like this essentially acts as a resume almost you know what I mean how how that would act if you were going to a job and you give them your resume and they find out all the stuff about you that’s pretty much what your profile is so make sure the start of your upwork jobs journey starts with a strong profile.
Read Descriptions Of UPWORK Jobs Thoroughly:
Next up is to actually read descriptions of the upwork jobs thoroughly right so I actually read the job descriptions fully because a lot of the time there’s certain things in there that might actually you know make it not an ideal job for you or there’s certain things you can use to reference when applying or there’s all sorts of different possibilities but for example here’s a job right here that is a video editor and graphic designer required to edit video on an ongoing basis now if I look in here it says I’m looking for someone with great English skills attention to detail great communication and experience in creating these type of videos and they show you so if we didn’t read this description here and just went off of the title which says video editor and graphic designer required you know that might be perfect but then if I didn’t read this and realize that they actually need someone with great English skills and great communication and experience in creating these specific type of video I might not have actually checked out what this specific to have a video.
They wanted me to create was and then it might be a type of video that I don’t know how to create by the way guys obviously I know there’s different freelancers watching my video that aren’t just video creators but this is the type of freelance I do so I’m using it as an example but by all means I’m using it just to paint a picture and create some context for you to apply to your particular work if you’re not watching this on blogs and you and you’re not a video producer but by all means my blog was based around blogs production so it’s safe to assume a lot of you guys are interested in video production overall you’ve got to read the descriptions fully because a lot of the time they might use things in here that you can use in your proposal to them to actually make yourself sound like you’ve actually put the time and read it for example I’m looking for someone with great English skills you could obviously start your your your proposal something along the lines of hey how’s it going I got great English skills you know what I mean something like that or you choose a little thing like here like a great communication so you start with hey I got some really great communication skills and I’m also a great video editor.
Here’s the blogs you know what I mean so you can use little bits that they’ve actually included in their description to actually use to kind of sell yourself in terms of actually having thoroughly read the job description and they’ll definitely appreciate things like this because they’re gonna know what they typed so if you type some stuff like you know hey I’ve got great English and communication skills you know what I mean that’s gonna obviously please them straight away in this particular case but definitely be reading those job descriptions.
Keep Your UPWORK Job Proposal Short and Straight:
Next up you obviously want to keep your proposal short and straight to the point I’ll show you my proposal this is my you know consistent proposal that I send most people I August lease which it up for a lot of jobs but if I’m just trying to send an Eric proposal this right here is what I said and I said hey I’m Jack I’d love to get involved here’s my most recent showreel so you can get an idea about my style and quality and then I proceeded to link my show real and say hope to hear back now this is a lot better than the majority of people. who are writing massive paragraphs really trying to include every detail about themselves trying to you know tell them how they met their best friend in third grade and all this unnecessary information in their proposal where you know in my experience the person who’s just going in with a super short and straight to the point proposal like this is getting the job I’m getting a lot of jobs but it’s also down to what my showreel consists of in terms of showcasing my past work and this is in my opinion almost the most crucial thing that took me from getting just a you know a couple jobs to getting pretty much every job I applied for that I wanted I would get with this proposal right here with the show real and it’s not just this simple proposal it’s the specific show real which I’ve created and in fact this is my next point.
Unique Selling Points to approach clients:
It’s find a way to make yourself stand out find a way to get yourself some unique selling points tool to the way that you approach clients I’m gonna show you how long doing it right now all right here I’m gonna copy my proposal or I’m gonna cover my show real and I’m gonna press play and we load it up it is literally my proposal is literally a blogs of me I’m gonna pull it I’m gonna mute it rather explaining everything I can give them so I started off by saying hey you know what I mean I’m in my office right now I I’m a video editor I’m a videographer so I show pictures of me right there you know I keep clicking along I’m showing some projects that I’ve just wrapped up here I start showing all the different projects that I’m doing boom I literally show me out there on a shoot with my camera directing some people in a music video just all this social proof and I’m just walking you through I’m a good video creator and I can offer you some good services that’s basically what I’m saying in this thing I’m even saying how I’ve taught a whole course on blogs production boo boo this basically is a two minute and twenty eight advert for my services pretty much they I’ve put this together and like,
If you create a job and a lot of people are applying it’s safe to assume that almost nobody is applying with a blogs talking directly to the client because that’s how i phrase this i started off by saying hey how’s it going thanks for clicking here from upwork so instantly the client feels like I’m talking to them and then I proceeded to talk to them about what a perfect person I am to kind of fulfill this role of a video editor a blogs you know I’ll refer whatever the case may be but overall guys those are some points that are definitely gonna help you in getting your first job or not work and those points just to completely summarize everything again to make sure nobody missed out is make sure you have yourself a strong profile read the description fully and be able to use little bits of it in your proposals and also keep proposals short straight to the point and finally find a way to make yourself stand out whether that be an amazing website you’ve created or a blogs show real just like this with you talking directly to the client.
